I wasn't aware of Christmas in June.

There are few things in this world better than Chipotle, and one of those things is FREE Chipotle.

Tomorrow (June 3, 2004) is National Hunger Awareness Day and Chipotle doesn't want you going hungry.  Apparently, if you bring in a minimum $5 donation or 2 non-perishable food items you receive a free burrito in exchange.  I wonder if you can add Guac without them charging you an extra non-perishable item.

If anyone needs some canned food, please contact Sanjay Gidwani, as he claims to have been planning for this day for weeks and has amassed a large collection of canned goods.  Here is an excerpt from a recent conversation:

gidzone (1:38:05 PM): i have been storing cans in my desk for weeks
gidzone (1:39:17 PM): i am going at 10:30, 2pm and 4pm

Brown likes burritos and I'm sure you do too, so grab some goods and head over to your nearest Potle location tomorrow for what seems to be a good cause.  Prior to today, I wasn't even aware of National Hunger Awareness Day, but now, thanks to Chipotle, I'm very aware.

Here in Champaign we're not lucky enough to have a Chipotle. We're actually just lucky enough to have canned goods. Food drives around here consist of bringing actual live animals to your closest Meijer. There they slaughter the beast and place them in cans to be distributed later.
As a token of appreciation for your animal sacrifice Meijer gives you a job paying you less money than the people who make your polo shirts in Singapore.

You got it nice up there...
