In campaign news, it seems our friend, Mayor McCheese, in an attempt to capture the female vote, has gone incredibly soft on us.  In complete contrast of his very successful “bitterness and sarcasm” campaign, he has adopted some song lyrics and placed them in his away message.

i've become
impossible
holding on to when
when everything seemed to matter more
the two of us (all used)
all used and beaten up
watching fate
as it flows
down the path
we have chose

you and me
we're in this together now
none of them can stop us now
we will make it through somehow

you and me
if the world should break in two
until the very end of me
until the very end of you

Breathtaking.

For those of us who know the Mayor personally, this comes as an unbelievable shock.  What could cause him to stray so far from his deeply rooted angst?

Publicity stunt?  Change of heart?  A girlfriend?  Sadly, the Mayor was unavailable for comment and we are left to draw our own conclusions.

What is FOX's obsession with showing us every single fan at every single World Series game?  And then, just when it couldn't get any more annoying, they string the shots together in a horribly cheesy montage complete with a theme song.  Red Sox fans cut to “I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For” really helps me identify with their years of plight like nothing else.

The other day, they used a song by Boston.  How creative.  I guess it's better than listening to Joe Buck and Tim McCarver, a.k.a. Dumb and Dumber, shoot off idiot comments by the minute.

Shut up already,
